More like collard greens than cabbage with larger, thicker leaves and stem. Also called Galician or 1000 Leaf Headless cabbage. Developed before the 17th century. Famous for Caldo Verde soup. Gifted to Mary Alice in 2009 by Lynda Dowling, who received it from a friend who obtained it during a pilgrimage from France to Spain. Very sturdy and cold hardy.
